Willett was a fine furniture manufacturer from Louisville, Kentucky, known for their solid Cherry and Maple wood furniture.
This is their Trans-East series of furniture in solid Cherry wood and was produced in the 1950s. Mid Century meets Eastern influence style.
The Cherry wood is toned to a Walnut color. It has been cleaned and polished up.
There's a few age related knicks and dings and a chip out of the bottom edge. The majority of the scuffs are along the bottom front (vacuum?). The solid metal pulls show wear. I would be tempted to remove them and paint them silver and cover in lacquer to restore.
There's a large solid Cherry wood mirror with brackets and tilt mechanism that attaches to the back of the dresser that is also included.
Malcolm Furniture co. imported the furniture from Willett and put their own sticker in the dressers and sold it here in Canada.
